Pre-order Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™ European Pre-order Program and Founder Program:

1.	Only players located in the United Kingdom and Europe who purchase a pre-order version of the online PC game known as The Lord of the Rings Online™: Shadows of Angmar™ (the “Game”) are eligible for this European Pre-order Program and Founder Program (“Founders”).
2.	Pre-orders purchased at retail or online from the Internet contain a pre-release beta version of the Game only. The full version of the Game will be sold separately when the Game is commercially launched in the United Kingdom and Europe (“Launch”). Purchase of the Launch version of the Game and activation of the associated Launch Activation Code is required to redeem the Founder Program offer. All Pre-order activation codes (i.e. the Early Access Code, the Founder Pass Code, and In-Game Item Code) will expire on, and may no longer be activated after, the thirtieth (30th) day after Launch (the “Expiration Date”). The anticipated Launch date of the Game in the United Kingdom and Europe will be announced by The Codemasters Software Company Limited (“Codemasters”) on http://www.lotro-europe.com/founder. T Please note that the Early Access Code (described below) must be activated prior to the Founder Pass Code, the In-Game Item Code and the Launch Activation Code.
3.	The Founder Program offer includes the following:
	a.	Special pricing options - specifically, either a one-time discounted 6-month subscription fee of £35.94/€53.94 (the monthly equivalent of £5.99/€8.99 per month) from Launch (“6-month Subscription”) or a one-time membership fee of £99.99/€149.99 (“Lifetime Subscription”) for the commercial lifetime of the Game (“Founder Pricing Option”). Founders may select only one Founder Pricing Option (i.e. 6-Month Subscription fee or £99.99 Lifetime Subscription fee) when registering for a Game user account at Launch. The Lifetime Subscription will afford a Founder who purchases the Launch version of the Game with online access to the Game in the United Kingdom and Europe without additional monthly subscription charges for so long as Codemasters determines, in its sole discretion, to make the Game commercially available. The Founder Pricing Option will not apply if a Founder’s Game service account is terminated for any duration of time due to cancellation, violation of the end user license agreement or terms of service, non-payment or otherwise. If a Game account is re-activated after an account termination, the then current online services pricing terms for the Game will apply. This Founder Pricing Option is only available if the Founder Pass Code and Launch Activation Code are activated for an account on or prior to the Expiration Date (i.e. 30 days after Launch). The 6-month Subscription and Lifetime Subscription fees will be charged upon activation of the applicable codes and are non-refundable. This is an optional feature only.
	b.	Early Access privileges - specifically, those Pre-order purchasers who activate their Early Access Code and establish an Early Access account by no later than the date specified on http://www.lotro-europe.com will have guaranteed access to the Game during a 10-day period prior to Launch to be announced by Codemasters (“Early Access”). Gameplay during Early Access is subject to network and server availability and may be interrupted by the service provider for testing and system and software updates. Also, a Founder who activates his/her Early Access Code prior to Launch will be able to preserve his/her characters and associated levels and inventories as part of the Launch account associated with the Early Access account (“Character Transfer”). Character Transfer is only available if the Early Access Code is activated prior to Launch (and characters are created) and a Launch Activation Code is activated for such Pre-order account on or prior to the Expiration Date (i.e. 30 days after Launch).
	c.	Unique In-Game Item - specifically, characters created during Early Access by Pre-order customers will receive a special In-Game Item. The In-Game Item is only available if the In-Game Item Code is activated prior to Launch (and characters are created) and a Launch Activation Key is activated for such Pre-order account on or prior to the Expiration Date (i.e. 30 days after Launch). The In-Game Item is an optional feature and will be made available with the live service after Launch.
4.	Purchases are non-refundable, subject to applicable laws. Founder Program offer and Pre-order codes (including Founder Pass Code, In-game Item Code and Early Access Code) are non-transferable.
5.	Gameplay requires Internet connection. Players are responsible for their own telecommunications charges. Online subscription fees apply. Players’ personal computers must meet certain minimum system requirements to play the Game; however, the recommended system requirements are advised for better performance. The minimum (or recommended) system requirements specified in the Pre-order materials are based on the Beta version of game. The system requirements for the Launch version of the Game may differ from such specifications. System requirements may change from time to time.
6.	Acceptance of the applicable end user license agreement and terms of service for access to Early Access and the live service at Launch is required.

By entering any of the Pre-order codes (including the Founder Pass Code, In-Game Item Code and Early Access Code), you hereby agree to the foregoing Terms and Conditions (which may be modified or updated from time to time on http://www.lotro-europe.com ).
